Discussion of A master's thesis on the performance of the glycosylated hemoglobin test versus the Oral Glucose Tolerance Test in detection of blood glucose level abnormalities in women

At University of Basrah-College of medicine  A master's thesis on the performance of the glycosylated hemoglobin test versus the Oral Glucose Tolerance Test in detection of blood glucose level abnormalities in women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, was discussed. The thesis that was done by the student Mahmoud Thamer Jalloud  aimed to evaluate the above tests  within two hours to diagnose diabetes and its relation to insulin resistance. The thesis concluded that measuring the blood glucose level is more valuable by using Oral Glucose Tolerance Test in comparison to glycosylated hemoglobin test in women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.
