Board thesis in the College of Medicine discusses the Outcome Of  Double dartos Flaps Versus Single Layer Flap in snodgrass Urethroplasty for Distal Hypospadias Repair in Basrah Training Center of Urology

Board research at the College of Medicine at Basra University discussed the Outcome Of Double dartos Flaps Versus Single Layer Flap in snodgrass Urethroplasty for Distal Hypospadias Repair in Basrah Training Center of Urology . The research presented by student Murtada Faisal khalaf aims To assess the outcome of double dartos flaps (DDF) versus single layer flap in TIP urethroplasty (Snodgrassprocedure) for primary distal hypospadias repair inBasra Teaching Center with regard to success rate, and to investigate the importance of double flaps in preventing possible complications in particular, urethral fistula. The research concluded thatTubularized incised plate urethroplasty remains most popular surgical intervention for treatment of distal hypospadias repair with good functional and cosmetic results, most of the complications were minor and treated conservatively and Neourethral covering with symmetrical well vascularized double dorsal dartos flaps represents a very good choice of UF prevention after TIP urethroplasty for distal hypospadias. The discussion  under the supervision of  Prof. Dr. Murtada Muhammad Saleh Al-Musafir and committee formed by Prof. Hazem Raisan (Dean of the College of Medicine / Dhi Qar University) and Assistant Professor Dr. Safaa Abdel Abbas and consultant surgeon Dr. Adnan Athafa.
