The Board thesis entitled; Evaluation of weight bearing ankle dorsiflexion range of motion in diabetic patients, was discussed at University of Basrah - College of Medicine. The thesis was presented by the student Muataz Mohan Abdul al hussein, aimed to Validate any association between limitation of ankle dorsiflexion and diabetes mellitus, and investigating any relationship between limitation of ankle dorsiflexion and development of ulceration in diabetic foot. The thesis concluded that screening for an equinus ankle using digital inclinometer in weight bearing lunge test is a simple clinical tool to help identify patients at risk for increased diabetic foot complications such as foot ulcer.
