The President of University of Basrah; Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, honored the International Classifications Unit at the University, where the Classifications Unit consisted of three members from the College of Medicine; The Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs; Prof. Dr. Murtadha Mohammed Saleh Al-Musafir, and the Media Unit official; Assistant Prof. Dr. Abbas Abdul-Zahra Al-Hasani and  Prof. Dr. Nizar Samir Haddad with the Shield of Excellence as the University of Basrah obtained advanced rankings in the international classifications.It ranked first locally and eighteenth in the Arab world in the British Times Classification and second in the Russian (RUR) classification. This was happened during a Ramadan evening attended by the President and members of the University Council at College of Education for Science. The President of University praised their great role and the continuous work in documenting the scientific and research achievements in the various colleges and centers of the University.
