The first meeting of the committee for reviewing and reformulating the curriculum of the Basrah Medical College was held in Hall 101 today, Monday 9 / 11 / 2020 at 10:00 am, in the presence of the President of Basra University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ismail Al-Hamdi, and the Dean of the College of Medicine Zahra Prof. Dr. Mazen Hawaz and the assistants and members of the committee. The meeting included a speech by the President of the University in which he mentioned the need to review the curriculum in a way that suits the labor market and its requirements. Then the reasons for the necessity of reconsidering the scientific methods were discussed. A team was also formed to review educational outcomes. In addition to an agreement to review the curricula by forming committees to work on that, and the date of the next meeting has been set on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.
