College of Medicine opened today, Sunday, November 7, 2021, under the direct supervision of the President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and in the presence of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Mortada Muhammad Salih Al-Musafir, the Administrative Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Qais Kazem Baqer, and a group of employees, modern classrooms. This step comes in order to develop the college building and increase the classrooms in order to accommodate the number of new students from the first stage of the new academic year 2021-2022, who number more than 1,100 students. The university president said that all means and possibilities must be provided for our students to create a study environment commensurate with their future aspirations and to overcome all obstacles in front of them before they occur so that the university education path is on the right side.
