The Microbiology department at the college of Medicine, University of Basrah, and within the panel discussions organised by thedepartment , holds a Seminar for doctoral student Ahmed Wadi Mohammed, entitled: immunopathogenesis, Molecular Study and genotyping of CagA, VacA, DupA, HopQ and IceA genes among gastroduodenal disease patients infected with H.pylori In Basrah-province Iraq The research discussed the possibility of studying and determining the immune pathogens and the molecular pattern of genes of virulence factors among patients with gastroduodenal disease patients with Helicobacter pylori using the PCR method, as well as determining the concentrations of these genes used by bacteria in the events of gastric and duodenal ulcers, which may develop into the gastrointestinal malignancies in the serums taken from study groupas compared to the control group. The study also showed a clear relationship between the genes of ferocity factors and their role in gastrointestinal disease events in association with helical pylori bacteria. New genetic mutations were discovered in the patients studied and first recorded in Iraq. These genes and mutations are registered at the Global GenBank.
