Board research at Basra University discussed the response of dialysis patients with hepatitis C to treatment. The research presented by student Ali Abdul Razzaq Naeem aims to study the rate of achieving sustained viral response in dialysis patients with anti-hepatitis C treatment. The research concluded that dialysis with antiviral drugs has a great preventive role against disease development that may result from viral hepatitis. Where the viral load with liver enzymes was much lower in dialysis patients than those who did not complain of kidney defects. The research was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Safaa El-Din Ahmed Hajem, and the discussion committee was formed, headed by Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, as Chairman, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Khattar Musa and Consultant Doctor Dr. Khaled Abdel-Abbas Musabeh.
