The College of Medicine, University of Basra organized a scientific symposium on the latest developments in diabetes. The symposium aims to keep up with and discuss the latest developments in various diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of diabetes, especially with regard to diabetes complications. The symposium included two scientific sessions and five scientific lectures were presented in each session that included various scientific lectures.  The scientific aspects related to the different aspects of diabetes, and the symposium recommended the necessity of continuing to conduct various scientific activities related to diabetes, keeping abreast of the latest developments in various aspects of diabetes, issuing brochures, leaflets and folders covering various aspects of diabetes, and paying attention to community service with regard to preparing programs to educate the community about everything related to diabetes.
