The Basrah University / College of Medicine organized an extended meeting in the presence of the members of the Surgery Department and headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Shaker ( head of the Department) where they discussed the clinical training schedule for the college stages that related to the Department (the fourth, fifth and sixth stages). The problem was the small number of the Department members, and a decision was made to involve some doctors from the Ministry of Health in accademic teaching. The attendees recommended increasing the effort exerted in clinical training in order to raise the scientific level of students and prepare them in the right way to be successful and honest doctors in the future.
