The Department of Surgery at the College of Medicine, in cooperation with the Department of Clinical Skills Laboratory and the Basrah Health Department, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College; Prof. Dr. Khalil Ismail Al-Hamdi, held a workshop in Endoscopic surgery for beginners. The workshop targets resident doctors in general and pediatrics surgery. The workshop included 3 days. The first 2 days included lectures and training on simulators for Endoscopic surgery, while the third day included a training at the Endoscopic operations theaters of the Basrah Teaching Hospital.Members of Department of surgery in cooperation with doctors from Basrah Health Department had been participated in this workshop which showed a good interaction between students and trainers.
