The College of Medicine, University of Basrah, organizes a scientific symposium on the Omicron mutant

 

 

On Wednesday, December 22, 2021, the Basrah College of Medicine organizes a scientific symposium on the Omicron mutant, under the direct supervision of the Presidency of the University of Basrah, and in the presence of the President of the University, Prof. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and the Deanship of the College of Medicine.Its aim is to shed light on all the new health problems that affect society, the latest of which was the mutated Omicron virus from the Corona virus, which has spread in different regions of the world. The symposium dealt with several themes delivered by a. M. Dr. Firas Taha Mansour and the Prof. M. Dr. Alaa Khattar Moussa, teaching staff at the Faculty of Medicine. Where they mentioned that so far no infection has been recorded in Iraq from the omicron mutant, but it is necessary to prepare for such matters and explain the risks and symptoms in the event of injuries and the extent of the impact of the new mutant on human health.
