Basra University College of Medicine holds a virtual scientific lecture on intermittent fasting.

 The Anatomy Branch at the College of Medicine, University of Basra, under the patronage of the President of Basra University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ismail Al-Hamdi, and in cooperation with the Information Technology Unit in the College, held a virtual scientific lecture on the intermittent fasting system . the lecture was held on the application of a free conference call.
Dr. Salah Kadhim Muslim stated that the lecture was aimed at introducing the intermittent fasting system, which has recently proven its great effect in treating many diseases, including cardiovascular disease, digestive system diseases, neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's, in addition to its effective results in reaching the ideal weight and Detoxification. 
It was also mentioned that these benefits have been emphasized in the words of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him and his family (Fast , get healthy)

The Pharaohs and the Greeks also emphasized this point. 
The methods of fasting, how to apply it to our patients, and the most important obstacles to its implementation were also discussed. 
The lecture came about the desire to establish a clinic or a fasting treatment program, 
as many developed countries did adopt this program years ago  and achieved great results for human health.
 It is noteworthy that Dr. Salah Kadhim Muslim recently obtained a certificate of specialization in clinical nutrition and nutritional therapy from the Center for Nutritional Health Sciences from the United Kingdom.
