Basra University College of Medicine holds a symposium on the evolution of Coronavirus and its effect on molecular diagnosis .

The College of Medicine, University of Basra, under the patronage of the President of Basra University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ismail Al-Hamdi, and in cooperation with the College of Veterinary Medicine and the College of Science, held a scientific symposium on the evolution of Corona virus and its impact on the accuracy of molecular diagnosis.
The symposium consisted of three parts. The first part of the symposium discussed how to read amplification and judge the result of the examined sample and the second part discussed how to calculate the viral load, while the third part explained how to calculate the gene expression of a virus and a cell. The symposium was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Firas Taha Mansour from the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Basra, and Assistant Professor Dr. Zina Waheed Atwan from the College of Science, University of Basra. For scientific and administrative affairs and a group of teaching staff of the College of Medicine.
