The Medical Advisory Center of the College of Medicine, University of Basra, holds a training workshop for medical, technical and administrative staff.

 

 The Consultative Center of the College of Medicine, University of Basra, held a training workshop for the medical, technical and administrative staff for the center’s workers. The workshop dealt with the safety and security mechanisms that must be provided in medical centers and clinics for the purpose of receiving patients after the date of 5/7/2020, that is, after the period of lifting the ban, which was approved by the Crisis Cell in Basra Governorate and within the safety conditions and requirements.
Dr. Firas Faleh Al-Hamdani, Director of the Consultative Center, stated that the workshop emphasized the necessity of filtering disease cases by placing a trained nurse in the main gate to inquire about the patient’s health status and disease history while taking his temperature with the facilities using a special thermometer before entering the patient and the necessity of wearing all the center’s employees from Nurses, administrators, and technicians of masks, gloves, face shield and special medical gown. In addition to the necessity of the patient and his companion (only one companion) wearing masks and medical gloves, and the patient and his companion must pass through the special fogging station before entering the center, with the patient sitting places spaced out. And the adoption of taking vital activities for patients in a private room in addition to the patients' entry to doctors in a consistent and scheduled manner to avoid congestion.
Dr. Firas Faleh Al-Hamdani added that the consultative center includes specialized medical clinics and includes (brain and spine surgery, orthopedics and fractures, pediatric surgery, otolaryngology, general surgery, orthodontic surgery, urology, cardiovascular surgery, ophthalmology, Internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology and obstetrics, neurology, rheumatology, dermatologists, cardiology, diagnostic and therapeutic radiology, urology and dentistry) 
In addition to an integrated medical laboratory, radiology, sonar, magnetic resonance, spiral scanner, physiotherapy and rehabilitation unit, ECG unit, stress testing, in addition to minor operations, lounges for daily surgeries, and a model pharmacy (Noor El Warith Pharmacy).
