After the relentless follow-up of the President of the University of Basra, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and the follow-up department, the security forces arrested the criminal who stabbed the student at the College of Education for girls.

In  a brief statement made by the President of the University he announced the arrest of the aggressor on the university campus and the student Zainab Karim in a record time , which indicates the university's keenness and interest in the safety of its students and staff and warns the weak souls not to harm their security and will ensure their care and comfort.

It is noteworthy that the criminal has done a simple superficial stabs to student Zainab Karim from the College of Education for Girls and she gained full recovery, as she was reassured and visited by a high-level delegation from the University of Basra Council.
