The Internal Medicine Branch at the College of Medicine, Basra University, held a workshop on pulmonary hypertension and developments in treatment and diagnosis at Prof. Dr. Sarkis’s hall in the Al-Sadr Teaching Hospital. The workshop consisted of seven lectures that discussed the pathophysiology of pulmonary hypertension, disease assessment by echo examination, the latest methods used in treatment, and special cases such as pulmonary hypertension in patients with sickle cell anemia and patients with congenital heart defects
