The University of Basrah and the Arab Gulf Academy for Maritime Studies sign a memorandum of scientific cooperation

The University of Basrah and the Arab Gulf Academy for Maritime Studies signed a memorandum of joint scientific cooperation in several fields that would develop education, training and expertise of both parties to benefit the university students, graduates and the public sector, which represents the greatest weight in the Iraqi economy. The agreement was signed by the President of the University, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, with  the head of the academy, Major General Alaa Saber Hajim.

The two sides agreed to cooperate to enrich and contribute qualitative additions and exchange support in information and experiences in the scientific, technical, administrative and economic fields, as well as developing human resources and publishing joint research to serve both parties and the public interest, as well as organizing a joint working group that adopts pioneering projects based on the latest digital technologies globally and their various applications in the Arab Gulf Academy for Digital

The two parties stressed the employment of the means and capabilities of the university, including training centers, headquarters, the establishment of workshops and specialized courses to raise the scientific level of officers and teachers. In return, opening training halls and laboratories for students of Basra University to benefit from them in order to provide state institutions and the labor market with competent graduates.

Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, accompanied by a number of deans of colleges and directors of departments, toured the Academy's laboratories and training halls, watched the Mechanics and Electricity Exhibition and was briefed on the latest developments and inventions in this field.
