The college of Medicine University of Basra held a scientific symposium on the occasion of World Diabetes Day.

In the presence of the Dean of the college of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Murtadha Mohammed Saleh Al-Musafer and the  Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Qais Kazem Baqer.

The symposium included a detailed presentation of the causes that can lead to the disease and ways to prevent it.

The symposium recommended the need to exercise to prevent the disease and the importance of providing cirrhosis test devices.

The lecturers stressed the importance of conducting periodic examination for early detection of diabetes.
