The Pathology Department at University of Basrah - College of medicine  held  a Scientific Symposium under the supervision of Dr. Saad Abdul-Baqi at Al-Zahraa Hall, on the advances in the diagnostic methods used in Pathology (MicroSateLite Instability (MSI) and MISS Match Repair (MMR) in Colorectal Cancer) - a Practical Approach. The Scientific  Symposium aims to define MSI test and its relation to the Colon cancer, and how to diagnose and treat these cases. The symposium recommended an extensive study on numbers of patients with colon cancer and its variations at the genetic level in Basrah.
